Francis Jacquerye M.A.

After a Baccalaureate in Literature and History at the Saint-Paul Jesuit boarding school in Belgium, Francis spent a year with a bank manager's family in British Columbia, Canada, where he studied journalism as a major. He carried out his higher education with a Bachelor's degree in industrial design at the Institut Saint Luc Higher Education in Arts in Liège, Belgium, and earned a Master's degree from the university of Kent, UK. During his studies, he worked as an interpreter.

Francis worked as a freelance interior designer and relocated to Milan, Italy, to work as a web developer before being awarded the first prize in the discontinued Shonan Design competition. He later joined Sector Group (now Morellato & Sector) to patent and produce his invention, and to specialize as a horological designer. During his 8 years in Italy, Francis also worked as a voice-over artist, wrote a few articles for a collaborative blog renamed Racialicious, and trained as a goldsmith at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana.

In October 2007, the experienced horological designer relocated to Switzerland, to start working for the Compagnie des Montres Longines Francillon SA in Saint-Imier.

Francis is now 33 years old, and he has been working in product design for more than 8 years.
